Project VIDEO

Project VIDEO is the ministry of Donald and Pamela Leonard, serving in Chiang Mai, Thailand with Wycliffe Bible Translators. The goal of Project VIDEO is to equip and train local evangelists to make and distribute Christian videos in their respective languages that concurrently promote the use of the translated scriptures. The Leonards oversee three production centers in Chiang Mai and Mae Sariang, Thailand and Gongshan, China. The gospel productions they create reach tens of thousands of people in their respective target people groups – LISU and KAREN – in several Southeast Asian countries.

Additionally, we provide on-the-job training, training local residents to be producers.

Future projects are in the works for the AKHA, LAHU, HMONG and KMRU people groups. We have plans to expand to five production centers. Work is already underway on the production center targeting 2.5 million AKHA people in give countries is ready to go.

The strategy used in Project VIDEO is known as “God’s Two Carabao.” To learn more, download “Carabao & Cameras” by Don & Pam Leonard.

About Don & Pam

Don & Pam Leonard have been missionaries for more than 30 years. Ordained as a Lutheran pastor in 1975, the Leonards served for 20 years in the Philippines where they pioneered the use of vernacular videos in dozens of language programs. “Proclaiming the gospel through video” became their passion. It’s also the goal of the major media initiative they now spearhead in Asia called Project VIDEO.

The Leonards live in Chiang Mai Thailand half the year and the other half in Austin, Minnesota.

Please pray and consider your role in enabling them in this call.
