Youth Enhancement Service

We feel strongly and declare loudly that our youth are the best thing that GOD has created for this time, for the purpose of rebuilding Jamaica. Character building is essential in our training, as change must begin within.

Our strategy is to provide empowerment and support through the careful development and effective dissemination of a series of training modules designed to convert frustrated and disenfranchised youth into skilled, well adjusted individuals ready to enter our nation’s labor force. Our organization has been structured on a local needs assessment done in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

Youth Enhancement Service (Y.E.S.) is a division of Vision Makers WorldReach (VMW). Dedicated to training, Y.E.S. programs include:

• Y.E.S. Hospitality: Training in Front Office, Food and Beverage (Restaurant Service) and Room Attendant (Housekeeping).
• Y.E.S. Technology: Conducting Call Center and Data Operations training.
• Y.E.S. Office Administration: Equipping students to be an Office Clerk.
• A partnership with VMW Placements, a job placement service for the hundreds of students Y.E.S. trains each quarter.

The gospel of Jesus Christ is infused throughout the academic training, alongside a deliberate teaching of a character development curriculum, “Life at the CrossRoads.” Through experience, this part of their training always makes the most impact, as students are able to “see” change in their lives.
