Vision: To empower and foster worship renewal in emerging worshipping communities throughout the world, particularly those who are underserved due to geography and/or limited financial resources.
Rationale: Many churches around the globe are full of members and leaders with a deep love for God and desire to express that love in worship. Many of these churches, however, do not have experienced worship leaders or worship planners. Others lack the resources (beyond online resources like YouTube) to seek and find training in the areas of music, worship, and indigenous songwriting. This initiative provides that training for local worship leaders and pastors, so that they can help their congregations grow in their relationship with God through their corporate worship gatherings.
The curriculum for the Global Worship Training is designed to teach developing communities about the biblical and theological foundations of worship, as well as more practical aspects of worship planning and leading. Some examples of practical worship planning and leading that will be taught including the following: planning an order of worship, choosing songs for worship, writing indigenous songs for worship, scripture presentation, and incorporating other indigenous artistic expressions into worship.
