Shazia Siraj, a young Christian nurse from a poor family, encountered persistent harassment from Dr. Irfan Akram, a Muslim doctor at Allama Memorial Hospital in Sialkot, who pressured her to discuss religion. Shazia resisted his advances, but one day, as she returned home, a white van intercepted her. She was kidnapped, taken to an unknown location, and repeatedly pressured to convert to Islam. Her captors abused her daily, burning her with cigarettes and beating her, while promising “Jannat” (Paradise) if she converted.
Despite the horrific treatment, Shazia remained resolute in her Christian faith, praying for strength. After a difficult escape aided by a compassionate woman, she returned home in poor health, requiring hospitalization. Tragically, the trauma affected her father deeply, and he soon passed away. Shazia now lives in constant fear, as her kidnappers continue to threaten her family to force her conversion and marriage. Despite her hardships, Shazia remains unwavering in her faith, finding peace in her prayers.
