Our Story
In August 2005 Mrs Vivian Kityo saw the plight of young girls facing crisis pregnancies.What began in a small room grew into a home that welcomes girls from every region of Uganda .We have constructed a Maternity Center to do the deliberies of babies at the premises.
Wakisa Ministries is a registered Christian based nono-governmental organization founded by Mrs Vivian Kityo .It trains and supports teenage girls navigating unplanned pregnancies in Wakiso ,Uganda.For 20 years now ,we have provided ,medical care ,counselling and skills training to over 8000 girls,many of whom have been abandoned by family ,dropped out of school or expereinced abuse.
We exist to protect ,restore dignity ,empower and equip these young women with tools they need to regain control of their lives ,continue their education and reintegrate into society with dignity and confidence .
