I am a learner and a dreamer. I look up to Latin American Christian leaders who have shaped the unique pathway of my life. Their influence on my story has shaped my hope in Christ, broadened my participation in the story of gospel, and developed in me a commitment to the flourishing of all people. Over my entire career I have focused my attention on where the gospel is taking Latin Americans and I have enjoyed discovering new pathways for mission with them.
I have identified with Martureo-the Brazilian Center for Missiological Reflection because the work that Brazilians do in global mission will influence the future of the world for generations to come. There is value for all of us in the research and writing to draw on the meaning of their experience entering the world, for the sake of the gospel, from Brazil.
I also teach Biblical studies and History of the Church in Latin America, in Spanish, to seminary students in the San Francisco Bay Area.
