After over thirty years of ministry in Africa including twenty one years in Senegal and eight years in South Africa, we desire to serve and encourage ministers of the Gospel in Africa and beyond. There are four areas of concentration which we see opportunities to employ our gifts, skills and experience.
1. We want to offer insights and help through coaching and consulting to ministers in the South African and African context and beyond.
2. We want to continue in the discipling and mentoring relationships we already have from our years in Africa. We also have invitations from other ministries to participate in discipleship training for pastors and leaders. We also see opportunities in Memphis, TN to develop more mentoring relationships.
3. We know how important encouragement is. We were thirsty for encouragement during our years on the field in Africa, we want to quench that thirst in other missionaries, church leaders and Kingdom workers through letters, calls and emails.
4. There are always financial needs for ministry initiatives. Our years in ministry overseas position us well as interpreters of legitimate needs to those who have resources to meet the needs. We can also help donations be distributed in ways that help without hurting.
Overall in the realm of ministry efforts in South Africa, Senegal, and any cross-cultural initiatives there are always questions about best practices, insights into avoiding obstacles, cultural adaptation issues, and international family dynamics. We can speak into those realities from our years of experience in missions, in raising children overseas and leading multi-ethnic teams in Africa.
