After over 30 years of preaching and developing expositors of God’s word, I desire to continue equipping pastors to lead movements of God’s word with the transformation Christ’s gospel brings.
Three stages help nurture this movement among pastors: Core Training, Advanced Discipleship and Partnership Development.
Core Training exists of 8 Exposition Workshops over a period of 4 years, where small groups of pastors/church leaders are equipped to preach God’s word in a compelling way that speaks to the heart. Guided by 10 simple tools, we focus on discovering the message of the book, the change it brings to our hearts and lives, and how to shepherd ourselves and others with that transformation. During this time we evaluate preaching and encourage multiplication of the training among other leaders.
Advanced Discipleship focuses on developing leadership teams who can own, develop, sustain and grow a movement of God’s word in their context and beyond. Where Core Training focuses more on an individual’s preaching and training of set curriculum, Advanced Discipleship mentors pastors to grow in competency and confidence to work through new books of the Bible, conduct new workshops and direct a growing work among other pastors. The goal is a formal leadership team who develop a strategy and process to advance a movement of God’s word in their country and beyond.
Partnership Development. Underlying this whole process is a commitment to the Biblical priority of partnership in Gospel ministry. Partnership is key to every introduction, selection, and evaluation made in the process. Developing more and the right kind of partnerships strengthens the sustainability of the movement of God’s word in a country or region.
