Our mission is to bring the Gospel to those affected with disability in the Balkan Region, bringing the Gospel directly to families affected with disability by visiting them in their homes, and providing assistance with their physical needs and listening to their experience and stories.
To promote disability awareness among evangelical churches in the Balkan Region so that they are better equipped to serve and welcome families affected by disabilities.
To train pastors, church leaders, professionals, and volunteers to serve and include families affected by disabilities and to make their programs accessible to persons with disabilities.
Hana's Hope
As the Hana’s Hope Team, working not only in Serbia but across the entire Balkan region, we have experienced both significant challenges and profound joys. With the Hana’s House project, we believe we are engaging in groundbreaking work that will impact the entire region.
In this part of the world, there are very few Christians, and even fewer who are actively engaged in reaching out to people with disabilities. Many pastors and church leaders grapple with fear or uncertainty when it comes to connecting with this community, largely due to a lack of exposure or experience. This project aims to address these concerns, raising awareness among evangelicals about the immense needs of this marginalized and often neglected group.
One of the most pressing challenges faced by people with disabilities is isolation from church communities, which deprives them of opportunities to hear the Gospel and engage with believers. Hana’s House seeks to bridge this gap, creating vital connections between the Body of Christ and the disability community. As our Lord so clearly stated, acts of love and service toward “the least of these” are done unto Him. This project will make it easier for churches to serve this community and demonstrate Christ’s love in meaningful ways.
Our mission includes providing respite care for parents of children with disabilities, offering them much-needed physical and emotional rest, while also pointing them to the ultimate Rest found in Christ.
Speaking about Hana’s House through social media, in church communities, and beyond, we have been invited to assist Christians in Bosnia, Slovenia, Macedonia, and other neighboring countries in establishing similar ministries. This has led us to consider expanding Hana’s House services to families in surrounding countries that share the same language.
Geographically, we are strategically positioned:
One hour from Croatia
1.5 hours from Bosnia and Herzegovina
Five hours from Slovenia and Macedonia
